Why I love building websites with Wix

When clients come to me asking for a new website for their business, one of the first things to work out is what platform would best suit their needs. Personally, my go to platforms are always either Wix or Squarespace. But how to decide between the two?

Reasons I love Wix:

  1. It’s easy to use. Some platforms like Shopify and Webflow that I’ve used in the past have taken hours just to work out how to move a button from left aligned to centre. Wix, you can simply click and drag. The ease of designing on Wix means that I’m able to get websites finished much quicker for my clients, and it also means that after I’m done it’s simple enough that most clients are able to make future changes and edits themselves.

  2. It has great support. Wix customer support is easy to use, and there’s tutorials or instructions on how to do pretty much everything! I’m never stuck unsure how to do something for more than a minute or two until I find the right article on the support.wix.com website.

  3. It’s more customisable. Wix editor has the freedom to put anything anywhere, it’s so easy. I’m not limited to the bounds of the template, and so I’m able to create exactly what I imagined every time.

  4. Great for E-Commerce. Wix has a really easy store setup, where you can set up your products, variations, payment methods and shipping and fulfilment at the click of a button. It’s simple to connect your payments with Stripe, Square, Afterpay and PayPal, and so you can start getting paid straight away. You can also connect Ascend business tools to access a whole lot of extra features including some great email marketing.

  5. Integrations. Wix has a lot of integrations that are compatible with it for extra features, and so it’s easy to make the website do what you need it to.

  6. SEO Tools. Wix has a simple checklist that helps you set your website up for success with Google. It’s easy to verify the site with google, enter meta descriptions for each page, and ensure that your keywords are being used.

To sum up, Wix is super easy to use, quick to design with, and doesn’t leave me pulling my hair out over trying to fix little bugs. It’s a great platform and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting an easy to use website.
